Three people have tragically lost their lives in an accident that occurred this morning (12th) on the Puttalam–Colombo main road, in the Mundalama Navadankulam area.
Police report that the collision involved a motor vehicle and a van. Among the deceased are two women traveling in the motor vehicle and one man.
Additionally, one person injured in the accident has been admitted to Halawatha Hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing, led by Mundalama Police.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling along this section of the road, as the investigation and recovery operations may cause temporary traffic disruptions.
