Suspicion Surrounds Death of Former Minister Nandana Gunathilaka; Family Halts Cremation, Plans Burial

The family of former minister Nandana Gunathilaka, who passed away while receiving treatment in hospital, has raised doubts over the circumstances surrounding his death.

Due to these concerns, the final arrangements scheduled for today (—) have been altered. Instead of proceeding with cremation as originally planned, the family has now decided to prepare for burial.

The family sources stated that this decision was made to keep open the possibility of exhuming the body for further examination, should additional investigations be required in the future.

They also reported that they are in the process of informing relevant authorities and requesting further inquiries into the incident.
